Ingredients

  • 1 32 oz pizza dough
  • 1 lbs Italian sausage
  • 8 tsp peach jam 2 tsp for each pizza
  • ½ medium onion
  • 1 lbs shredded mozzarella cheese
  • fresh oregano springs
  • 2-3 peaches

Instructions

Prepping the Ingredients

  • Preheat the pizza stone to 500 degrees or the highest temperature setting for your oven.
  • My sourdough pizza crust makes enough for 4 8" pizzas. Divide the dough into 4 pieces. You can make multiple individual crusts or one large crust. Prepare the pizza dough on a piece of parchment paper dusted with flour or cornmeal.
  • Brown the ground Italian sausage in a large skillet and then transfer it to a paper towel-lined plate to cool.
  • Cut the onion and the peaches into thin slices.

Assembling the Pizza

  • Spoon a few tablespoons of peach jam onto the pizza dough and spread it all around, leaving 1/2-1 inch to the edge of the crust.
  • Sprinkle shredded mozzarella cheese over the jam.
  • Top with ground sausage, sliced onion, and then peach slices.

Bake

  •  Slide the parchment paper onto a pizza peel and into the oven on the pizza stone. Use a baking sheet or large cutting board if you don't own a pizza peel. Bake for 8-10 minutes until the crust is golden brown and the cheese has melted.
The exact baking time will depend on how thick your pizza is. We stretch our dough so it has a thin crust. The underside of your pizza will be golden brown when it's done.
  • Slide the pizza peel or baking sheet under the parchment paper and remove from the oven when it's done baking.
  • Cut the pizza with a pizza cutter or a large sharp knife and enjoy!
